Operations Manager

Main area of responsibility; 

Responsible to the Operations Manager Zwevezele for the day to day running of profiles in the Stadskanaal site with the following heads of function reporting into this position

• Transport planner
• Production supervisor

Specific areas of responsibility;

• Delivery of the agreed objectives in Manufacturing Variances, Warranties, Quality, Production output, Safety, Transport Costs and operational overheads.
• Monthly operations reporting.
• Champion the ethos of continuous improvement throughout the site.
• On Time in Full delivery performance.
• Responsible for safety behaviour and safety results for the employees.
• Deliver regular briefings to the employees
• Maximize the availability of the machine park
• Report on the production KPI’s.
• Ensure the highest possible accuracy on coil warehouse quantities
• Manage the HR as per company strategy.

Profile:

The operations manager is a strong people manager and has a profound knowledge / is able to build a profound knowledge about SAP.

He/she takes initiatives, is entrepreneurial and a problem solver.

An education as (industrial /civil) engineer is preferable and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as manager a must.
