I'm a 45-year-old proud father of two amazing children – a son and a daughter. I love dining out and feel fortunate to have a wonderful girlfriend. Running and fitness are my passions, keeping me active and happy. Being a social person, I enjoy spending time with friends and meeting new people.

I work in production and logistics at Joris Ide.

What is your function at Joris Ide?
As a truck driver, my main responsibilities involve transporting steel materials and products to various locations, ensuring they reach their destinations safely and on time. It's a challenging yet rewarding role, and I take pride in being part of the team that contributes to the smooth operation of our company.
How does a working day look like?
A typical working day for me may involve performing the same tasks, but what makes it truly fascinating is that each day is a unique adventure in itself. As I step into my truck in the morning, I embark on a journey to supply our customers. Every stop along the way brings fresh encounters, challenges, and surprises, ensuring that no two days ever look alike. The dynamic nature of my job keeps me engaged and excited, as I embrace the unpredictability and diversity of each day's experiences.
How did you end up at Joris Ide?
I ended up at Joris Ide 16 years ago through connections. A close acquaintance of mine, my cousin's friend, was working there, and he informed me about a job opening as a truck driver. After three interviews, I was given the opportunity to start right away.

Working closely with my colleagues, I felt right at home among the workforce. Everyone was incredibly friendly, creating a fantastic atmosphere to collaborate with.
What would you still like to achieve at Joris Ide?
While there may be limited opportunities for advancement in my current role, I genuinely find satisfaction in my work at Joris Ide. The idea of working at a desk doesn't really appeal to me. I highly value the variety and active nature of my current job. The sense of fulfillment I get from supplying customers and facing daily challenges makes it the perfect job for me. However, I still aspire to continue growing in my expertise and efficiency as a truck driver. I believe there are always ways to improve and refine my skills, ensuring I provide the best service possible to our valued customers. My goal is to be recognized as a reliable and skilled driver, making a positive impact within the company and maintaining the high standards Joris Ide is known for.
