The Joris Ide Group invests in the heart of Brittany

En bref :

Joris Ide confirms its position as a major industrial player in Brittany by investing 4 million euros in the extension of its Saint-Caradec plant. The result: new job opportunities and greater responsiveness for customers, thanks to an extended product range.

European group Joris Ide has decided to expand its operations in Saint-Caradec, in the heart of Brittany. This strategic development will enable the leading manufacturer of profiled sheet metal to strengthen its presence in the North-West quarter of France, and respond more rapidly to customer demand.

The current plant, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, already manufactures over 23,000 tons of products per year. An 800m² extension will reinforce this existing production capacity, enabling Joris Ide to manufacture metal façade elements locally.

The company's extensive regional coverage enables it to optimize the distances covered by its products, an essential factor in controlling transport-related emissions and responding more rapidly to customer needs. This is in line with the Group's priorities, which include achieving zero landfill waste by 2030 and replacing its vehicle fleet with electric or green gas models.

These investments, which will come on stream in autumn 2024, will total 4 million euros.
