Aladdin Jammal continues his holiday rental project

Joris ide partnership

With over 130,000 subscribers on YouTube and more than 37,000 followers on Instagram, French DIY creator and professional videographer Aladdin Jammal has built a strong community around his passion for construction, DIY and self-building. He documents his projects step by step, sharing both the challenges and practical solutions behind each build.

His latest adventure is the development of a unique holiday rental site in the Albi region of France, centred around three distinctive timber-frame A-frame houses. Before starting the A-frames, Aladdin completed the first building on the site: a 21 m² reception office. For its roof, he chose JI Roof 1000 insulated sandwich panels, marking the first stage of his collaboration with Joris Ide. Discover the first part of the project here.

Now, the project is entering its next phase. For the roofs of the three A-frame holiday houses, Aladdin has chosen JI 38-525-1050, combining the distinctive appearance of standing seam roofing with the practical advantages of a profiled steel roofing solution.

A versatile steel roofing profile with the look of standing seam

With their steep slopes and distinctive geometry, the roofs are a defining feature of Aladdin's A-frame houses. The JI 38-525-1050 roofing sheet was therefore chosen not only as a practical roofing solution, but also as an important part of the architectural design.

The elegant steel roofing profile offers the sleek appearance of a traditional standing seam zinc roof, complementing the clean and contemporary lines of the A-frame architecture. At the same time, it combines this distinctive look with greater span capabilities and quick and easy installation, supporting efficient work on site.

For the project, Aladdin opted for a Grandem 40 µ coating, giving the roofing sheets a refined, modern finish that complements the clean architectural character. Beyond its appearance, the coating also offers excellent corrosion resistance and a non-slip surface.

Designed for a broad range of applications

Beyond its architectural appearance, JI 38-525-1050 is a versatile solution suitable for residential, collective and commercial buildings, both for new construction and renovation projects.
Sheets can be supplied in lengths of up to 13.6 metres, helping to create long, continuous roof lines that are particularly well suited to this type of architecture.

As a non-insulated roofing solution, the profile is especially relevant for buildings or areas where additional insulation is not required. For projects requiring thermal performance, it can also be combined with the insulated JI Vieo Roof 1050 panel, offering greater flexibility while maintaining a similar architectural appearance.

An inspiring project

From the reception building to the three A-frame holiday houses, Aladdin's project demonstrates how different Joris Ide solutions can respond to different architectural and technical requirements.

After choosing JI Roof 1000 insulated sandwich panels for the reception building, Aladdin is now using JI 38-525-1050 roofing sheets to give the A-frame houses their distinctive architectural character.

At Joris Ide, we are proud to continue supporting Aladdin as his holiday rental project takes shape. By sharing each stage of the construction with his community, he also offers an inspiring insight into how thoughtful design, practical construction methods and carefully selected materials can come together to create a truly distinctive project.
