A complete Joris Ide building in the shape of a piano

This architectural building in the shape of a piano is a visual illustration of the building's ultimate purpose, namely to host musical events.

The piano is completely covered in black metal, from the ridged profiles and flat sidings for the cladding to the trays and steeldeck on the inside. This gives the building a uniqueness of tone as well as a particularly aesthetic dimension.

A concert hall with Joris Ide acoustic solutions

In addition to the aesthetic dimension, the acoustic problem was the central element for this concert hall. Thanks to the perforated trays and decks, it was possible to achieve the sound reduction values required by the client.

Together with the company Phonotech, Joris Ide has developed a range of solutions that will meet the ever-increasing need for acoustic performance.

Today, this range of specific solutions is characterized by excellent results, even at low frequencies, with attenuation values ranging from 70 to 80 dB and absorption coefficients very close to 1.00.
