The largest distribution centre for plants and trees in Europe was opened in Arcen on 1 January 2022. From here, trees and large plants will be packed and delivered directly to consumers in eleven European countries. We ensured that this distribution centre is a pleasant working environment and that the building - despite its size - fits in with its surroundings.

In contemporary architecture, we see that the aesthetic aspect is increasingly taken into account, even - or perhaps especially - with such large buildings. We are happy to think with the customer and offer an enormous range of colours to choose from. In the design phase, the colour of the sandwich panels can be included in the BIM model, so that you can immediately see what the final result will be.

In addition to the aesthetic aspect, we also advise on the subject of acoustics. Due to the enormous size of this building, it was important to choose a material that would prevent noise from reverberating around it. We have used the perforated Joris Ide steel roof (high deck) here. The 20 x 20 metre trusses not only create a peaceful atmosphere, but the perforated steel roof also improves the acoustics. In combination with the LED lighting, this has created a nice clean and, above all, pleasant working space
