How long have you been working at JI?

In 2021 it will be 8 years, I think. When I first started here, in “Phase I”, I started with the single-shell profiles in the profiling. After a year I switched to “Phase II”, also for profiling. After that I worked as a jumper in “Phase II” for a few years and took on all kinds of activities. So I slowly grew into my current role and when the opportunity arose for this position, I took it.

What made you want to go to „Phase II“?

After I started in “Phase I”, I realized that I would like to develop even more in this job. When the production hall of “Phase II” in Ansbach was completed, I wanted to go there, develop myself further and learn more. That was what I was offered there.

What does a typical day at work look like?

A typical work day doesn't really exist. The work always starts the same way by checking if the machine is ready, but there is no such thing as one regular working day. Generally something different is produced every day, so every day has different requirements. The variety makes my job interesting. You learn and it challenges you again and again.

Which part of your job do you like best?

For me personally, it’s a good day at work when there are no major problem and all machinery runs smoothly. I also like it when we can do something new. I’ll always remember when the first few meters were produced on the new system in “Phase II”. That was a real sense of achievement.

My current job is very satisfactory. What's next? No idea. We're growing so fast, let's see how it all develops. I've already made a great development from profiler to supervisor. I am open to anything.
