Better quality, bigger capacity and less waste of materials. Out new ‘cut to length line’ brings nothing but benefits.
Where the old machine used to have seven rolls, our new one has 21. They have a much smaller diameter so that all steel can be made completely flat. This increase in quality makes the sheets much more suitable for use on the automatic punching and bending machine (M009).
The M009 demands the supply of perfectly flat sheets. Due to the unevenness of and dog-ears on the sides of the sheets produced by older versions of the M085, they were not good enough to use on the M009. “We often had to use multiple coils to achieve the desired result. Thanks to our new ‘cut to length line’ those problems are now completely gone. We can immediately deliver the quality and superior flatness that is required,” explains operations manager Bart Derde.
The capacity of the new machine has also increase. Whereas with the M013 and M084 only one person could operate the entire line, now two people can. Packaging takes place at the same time as production. “The preparation process also runs more smoothly. On the new M085, we can prepare the coils for the next order while we are producing.”
The new cut to length line allows us to tap into previously unexplored market segments, aswe can now guarantee to deliver completely flat sheets.
