Can you introduce yourself in a few sentences?
My name is Amaury, and I am a 22-year-old student currently doing an internship in the HR department at Joris Ide. I am studying Business Sciences with a specialization in Personnel and Organizational Management at Ghent University. Currently, I live in Veldegem with my parents, sister, and brother.
In my free time, I am involved in the Chiro (Editor's note: Chiro is a youth association in Belgium), where I have been a member since I was six years old. At this moment I am in my sixth year as a leader. Besides, I value spending time with my family and friends and enjoy exploring new places through travel.
During my internship, I aim to bring added value to Joris Ide.

I am currently working as an intern in the HR department.
How long have you been working at Joris Ide?
My internship period lasts for 11 weeks, and currently, I have begun my eighth week.
How did you end up at Joris Ide?
During my search for an internship, my father provided me with more information about the company Joris Ide. After visiting their website, I was able to gain some insight into the HR department and the employees, and the team appeared to be very pleasant. As a result, I decided to apply for an internship here.
How does a working day look like?
My tasks within the HR department are very diverse, which allows me to learn a lot. On one hand, I am working on projects such as the onboarding process and absenteeism policy, and on the other hand, I am also involved in job fairs and creating the welcome brochure.
I was warmly welcomed from the beginning.
It's great to join such a welcoming team. Everyone in the team is always available to offer advice or have a friendly chat. As a result, I felt very welcome right away.
What makes you the ideal person for this job?
This internship period is an ideal opportunity for me to apply the knowledge I have gained in practice. In addition, I have already gained some experience during my previous education by working for seven months as an intern and job student in an HR department. I am a driven and enthusiastic person, and I am eager to contribute my skills to the company.
