What is FM Approvals ?
FM Approvals, part of FM Global - a worldwide insurance and risk management enterprise, is an international third party testing and certification service - for property loss prevention products and services used in commercial and industrial facilities.
Why FM 4540?
- Published in December 2022, FM 4540 is FM Global’s newest approval standard for fire-resistant assemblies. It unifies testing under ASTM E119, ASTM E1529, EN 1364 & EN 1365, bridging European and US criteria.
- An FM APPROVED label means independent audits, rigorous factory inspections and global insurer recognition.
